By ED BAILEY, Associated Press
Gary Carter's battle with brain cancer grew tougher when several new tumors were found on his brain, according to his family's web site.
The New York Daily Newsreports that Carter, 57, began complaining of severe headaches, fatigue and balance problems after a fall on Christmas Day that resulted in torn rotator cuff.

According to the Daily News, Kimmy Bloemers, daughter of the Hall of Fame catcher, wrote on the family web site:
"I wish I could report the results were good ... I write these words with tears because I am so sad for my dad. Dr. Jimmy Harris will be coming to my parents' house this evening to talk to the family about the next step."
